Computer Strategies KB is an extension of Computer Strategies which has been providing consulting services and software applications for many years. The focus of the company has changed over time as the technology has changed. Below we briefly have highlighted the evolving technologies that Computer Strategies has been directly involved with. The following is background information about the Principal of Computer Strategies KB and the evolution of Computer Strategies. Sanford (Sandy) Schram holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from NJIT. Yes he was a “Rocket Scientist” and actually developed mathematical models of rocket engine dynamics. Early in his career he made the transition from engineering to computers. As an executive in product and Systems development for a large computer industry leader, he managed many externally developed software products, first was introduced to relational data bases, utilized Project Management software and taught software related classes. He was instrumental in bringing many software products to market Following this he formed Computer Strategies and designed and implemented Business Systems doing the analysis, design and programming plus directing his staff of programmers. A garment manufacturing software package was developed and marketed. We created a fully integrated enterprise software solution which included A/R, A/P, G/L, Order Entry, Sales Analysis, MRP, Inventory Control, WIP, Allocation, Billing, and reporting. R & S Financial Services Inc. was a company he and an associate founded. It provided targeted financial services, which included unique software tools and sold the garment manufacturing software package. Our clients included a number of nationally recognized clothing manufacturers such as OP, Gotcha, and Bugle Boy. Computer Strategies was reactivated and focused on document processing. We developed a number of special software systems. One of which was a QA laboratory test knowledge base. This laid the ground work for what is now our focus. As technology changed we focused on Data Warehousing and BI. We became expert on both the ETL side and the Query and reporting side. During this time Mr. Schram did consulting across the country and in Canada. He also taught many classes on the use of the software tools he had mastered and the software tools of vendors with whom he had partnered. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Data Base Applications, Project Management, and Business Systems Development. As stated on the home page we are now focusing on providing targeted knowledge bases, one of which is for data base application documentation. This draws upon our previous experience with knowledge bases, project management, software development, and Business Intelligence. |
